Major Recognition for AIDA’s Managing Director, Aida Nika: Named Among “The 50 Most Influential People in the Events Industry in Europe”

The voting process began on October 16 and concluded on October 27, with the results being announced on November 7. The list recognizes exceptional individuals from around the globe who have made a significant impact through their creativity, vision, and innovation.

The categories included in the ranking were:

• The 50 Most Influential People in the Events Industry in Australia and New Zealand

The EVENTEX AWARDS, established in 2009, have become the most recognized symbol of excellence in the events and experience marketing industry. This competition offers both large and small companies the opportunity to showcase their outstanding work and gain global recognition within the events sector.

AIDA participated for the first time as an exhibitor at the Philoxenia International Tourism Expo, the only international tourism exhibition in Greece. Held from November 10-12, 2023, at HELEXPO Thessaloniki, this high-profile event attracted industry professionals from around the world, with Bulgaria serving as the honored country.

As the sole exhibitor focusing on the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism sector, AIDA made a significant impact by holding professional meetings with Hosted Buyers from countries such as Poland, Germany, Egypt, Armenia, and Azerbaijan.

These engagements allowed AIDA’s leadership team to present the company’s services and explore opportunities for establishing partnerships aimed at hosting international events in Greece.

In total, 103 Hosted Buyers attended the Philoxenia International Tourism Expo 2023 from abroad, and the exhibition featured 305 exhibitors from across the tourism industry. AIDA’s participation in such a high-profile event served as a valuable platform for exchanging ideas and perspectives, as well as an opportunity for fruitful collaborations. 

SGS Greece entrusted AIDA with the organization of the corporate Gala Dinner commemorating the 90th anniversary of the multinational company’s presence in the Greek market. The celebration took place on October 25, 2023, at Golf Prive Glyfadas in Athens, with more than 200 guests in attendance from Greece and abroad.

In his opening speech, Mr. Georgios Anastasopoulos, Managing Director of SGS Greece and Albania, reflected on the company’s remarkable 90-year history in Greece. Since 1933, SGS has been delivering high-quality inspection and certification services to hundreds of Greek industries and export businesses.

Mr. Anastasopoulos also highlighted the new investments planned by SGS in Greece in the coming years, further expanding SGS’s footprint in Greece. He concluded the speech by announcing plans for a grand celebration in 2033 to mark SGS’s 100th anniversary in Greece.

AIDA orchestrated the entire event, delivering a comprehensive range of high-quality services, which included corporate branding, interior design and decoration, guest transportation, corporate gifts, audiovisual and sound equipment, music, registration and guest management, menu development, as well as photographic and video coverage of the event.

Mrs. Aida Nika, Managing Director of AIDA, participated in the Connect on Tour Milan for B2B meetings organized by the Thessaloniki Convention Bureau for its members.

The B2B meetings took place successfully on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at the NH Collection Milano Touring Hotel, bringing together Greek and Italian businesses. The goal was to explore potential collaborations and establish agreements.

Through the B2B meetings, AIDA had the opportunity to showcase its comprehensive range of services, fostering valuable connections that could lead to future partnerships. As a professional conference and event organizer, AIDA AIDA remains dedicated to supporting initiatives that promote the attraction of international events to Greece.

AIDA’s Managing Director, Mrs. Aida Nika, attended the annual ibtm WORLD exhibition as a visitor, held from November 29 to December 1 in Barcelona.

Ibtm WORLD is one of the largest global events for conference organizers, serving as a hub for the exchange of ideas and perspectives on alternative and contemporary event planning. The exhibition attracted over 2,000 exhibitors and 10,000 professional event organizers, all gathering with the primary objective of gaining inspiration for enhancing their event offerings.

As a company committed to delivering exceptional service to its clients and organizing high-level events, AIDA maintains a strong presence at major gatherings for professional event organizers.

Among other topics, Mrs. Nika provided insights into the Business Mentality conference, an annual event that has been a signature initiative of AIDA since its inception in 2013.
