This partnership reflects a shared dedication to innovation, excellence in care, and community support through a series of strategic services aimed at enhancing the Group’s outreach efforts.

The SMERemediumCap (SMERC) Investment Fund, through its subsidiary Four Feet Ventures (FFV), has positioned itself as a leader in veterinary care for companion animals by developing the “Plakentia” Veterinary Clinics Group. Over the past two years, the Group has invested over 15 million euros in developing a nationwide network of premier veterinary facilities. Today, it collaborates with more than 1000 veterinarians across Greece, providing specialized services around the clock, 365 days a year.

The Group has made strategic acquisitions, including:

• “Plakentia Veterinary Clinic” in Athens, a pioneering provider of secondary healthcare services.

During the 88th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) 2024, Mrs. Aida Nika, Managing Director of AIDA, participated as a speaker at the event titled “Women in Economics? Of Course,” held on September 8th at the main stage of the German Pavilion 13.
The event emphasized the increasing role of women in the economic and business sectors.

Mrs. Nika shared the stage with prominent personalities, including Ms. Vasiliki Adamidou, Corporate Affairs Director of Lidl Hellas, Ms. Ana Vega, Managing Director of Bayer Hellas, director Ms. Sonia Liza Kenterman, and Professor Ms. Susanne Sophia Spilioti. The discussion centered on the challenges and opportunities faced by women in leadership positions, highlighting their empowerment and the expanding opportunities across various industries.

The event, organized by the Embassy of Germany and the German Trade and Invest organization, focused on the critical need for enhanced diversity and gender equality within entrepreneurship and governance. The panel underscored the increasing influence of women in both the public and private sectors, particularly within the context of globalization and digital transformation.

The Federal Republic of Germany, as the honored country at TIF 2024, presented over 6000 square meters of exhibition space, showcasing cutting-edge “Made in Germany” technologies and products. This prominent participation promoted innovation and entrepreneurship and reinforced the political, economic, and cultural ties between Greece and Germany.
